How do you snag a map from a saved game?

I've got a randomly generated map that I'd really like to hold onto for testing as I adjust my scenario, but I can't seem to do it. I know that I can "recreate" it by hand, but, since the damn thing is literally at the maximum size, I'd rather avoid that if I could.

Is there any way to do this?

Heck, I'll even take suggestions for shortcuts on a manual recreate if that's what it takes...

It was a success!

...mostly...

Two (and only two, out of about twenty) of my custom resources somehow vanished from the map in the crossing, so I'm re-doing them by hand.
