I read somewhere the birds are a strategic because the feathers are needed for arrows. At least in this conquest they are.
    I am so I think!

\Ste"la\, n.; pl. Stel[ae]. [L., from Gr. ? a post, an upright stone.] (Gr. Antiq.) A small column or pillar, used as a monument, milestone, etc.
There are many such stela in northern Ethiopia, especially near Aksum and Lalibela. One of the most famous stelae was stolen by Italian forces in 1935/36 and is still displayed in Italy despite the objections of the Ethiopian government.

Maybe they're cultural lines of some sort, like the Nazca lines, which some UFO nuts claimed were built as landing strips for UFOs.

WHAT?! You mean that they were not?!

But getting back to the topic on hand - does anyone have a definative answer as to what those 3 lines (looks like furrows) are on the screen shot?

How could that be a maize -- the furrows are straight? You'd never get lost in that!

(Must be a resource, since it isn't within a city radius.)

EDIT: Warpstorm, how could you do that!? I make a bad pun/joke, and then you eliminate the reference.

Ok, I'll bite. What type of bonus resource is it WarpStorm? (ie, what is the resource called?)

Ah, could it be a copper resource by any chance?

EDIT: Or is it a clay resource?

More importantly: is it a scenario specific resource, or we can find in the standard game, too?

                    (it could be a clay)

Judging from the reference in Jaybe's post it looks like Warpstrom originally said it was a Maize resource, but then edited it out.
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

Maize would make sense as a Mesoamerican scenario specific resource, indeed. It could be a replacement for wheat.

Yes,this is the most important question.

Scenarios are always under floodlights, but the epic game IMO is the thing that we have never to forget because it is the core feature of the game, otherwise Civ with scenarios only will look like to an arcade game, and Civ fans I believe hate to see " game over " and " insert coin ".

Not to worry, Gunter, there are additions to the epic game also.
