  • Small idea for conquests (or patch)

Here's a small idea for conquests or for a patch, that has no implications on the game, but could be really convenient for the player.

In the diplomacy screen, when you click on the trade tab, you should be able to see the supply and demand of a foreign Civ. That would allow to find a market for your wares (or to find a supplier) more easily and with less tedium than to wait for your diplomatic advisor to tell you what they have of interest.

I'd sure love to see this small interface tweak. It'd make the trade part of the game easier

    Something along these lines:

"I never had the need to have a boner." -- Dissident
"I have never cut off my penis when I was upset over a girl." -- Dis

          hi ,

simple , just make that part a bit bigger , it does not have to be THERE , aldo it seems an excellent location , it should also be with the trade advisor (!)

            Great Idea!

I think that, we can already see the other civs' supplies.

But it is very tedious (spell) to not see, what their demand is.

It shouldn't be too hard for the Firaxians to do.

Definitely a great idea. It would help encourage more trade in the game.

In the meantime, I find (while in the trade screen) I can find out pretty quickly what trades are available by just waving my pointer on and off the leader head rapidly, which quickly prompts a new advisor response each time, instead of waiting for the advisor to cycle through the list on his own.

                    great idea.

i'd also *LOVE* a way to see who's trading WHAT goods to who. perhaps if you selected 2 civs at once and looked at the trades menu?

i remember being at a civlan, and taking my friends only iron city. a few turns later i hear him say at another player, "no, iron you idiot!"

he should learn to cotrol his vocie

Good idea spiffor but even with this feature the best way of evaluating resource trading will still be the trade advisor screen (F2, IIRC)

Sure, but the F2 screen doesn't tell you about potential demand for your products, only about potential supply.

(what would happen in those mods with a billion resources? slider or something?)

I suppose the screen should be able to display all 16 goods of the standard game at a glance, and should have a slider if the player plays a modified game.
That would require a slightly bigger window than the one we already have, but I don't think the change in size would be too critical.
