Custom Civ not appearing in multiplayer drop down list

I have created several custom civs and the appear in the single player game just fine. However, when I go to play them in multiplayer they do not appear on the list of civs to chose from. The only way I can play a custom civ in a multiplayer game is to preset the player position in the civ editor with the custom civ. Is there another way?

You should be able to go to the Scenario properties and enable the civ from there.
