The Swiss can get a navy to the opening of the canal by renting than other nation warship for a short peroid an haveing it fly the Swiss Flag.Originally posted by Vince278
I did hear the Swiss navy received an invite to the opening of the Panama Canal (true!). Haven't heard if the Swiss bothered to send anyone anyway.

It was, until their battleship the 'Santa Cruz' was sunk by a Peruvian submarine on Lake (actually, a sea) Titicaca in October 1946.Originally posted by BigDork
Wait, you mean the Mayans and Incans didn't have a war? Next you'll be telling me the Bolivian navy isn't one of the strongest in South America.

Of course we have a navy. panag just demonstrated it.
For the last G8 on the Lake of Geneva, the Swiss government wanted to lease the Theodore Roosvelt, but the Americans informed us that it was already busy in the Gulf. Then they offered the Carl Vinson but the French authorities refused permission for the ship to sail the Rhone from Marseille to Geneva. As to prevent a diplomatic incident, and for obvious marketing reasons, since Switzerland plans to boost his 3-lakes battlefleets (Geneva, Constance, 4-Cantons), they offered the Charles de Gaulle.
Unfortunately for them, their offer was turned down since our FA-18 could not land on it.
You should really pay attention to your history lessons...

My bad
Hmmmm. That's probably my fault -- might have missed that with the copywriters when we were handing out short summaries of the various Conquests to the press. As you can read in the GameSpot preview, the MesoAmerican scenario is focused on culture (though you can always win by eliminating all the other opponents).Originally posted by Chilean President
Agree
Besides the game have multiples civs and we can 'see' a battle between America vs Carthage, that is not reason for telling us that the new xp have "famous historical campaigns" and mix up the Mayans and the Incas. It's incredible.
Enjoy!

Welcome to 'poly, Jeff!!
(and don't worry... we are, uh, used to, uh, some flubs. Deliver on what C3C looks like, and you'll be a god around here.)The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

The Mayans were earlier in history than both the Aztecs and the Incans, who only lasted for about 100-300 years and never fought.
Also, there are plenty of crackpot conspiracy theories about the Mayans, but I'm sure Firaxis won't include those in the scenario.
