There are hundreds of Ideas to Make Scenario's these days, From the many many contributions in Civ2 and all the other games, I was curious... are any scenario's or scenario Ideas worth pursuing... How about interested people adding a brief rundown of a scenario Ideas and Also I've added the Poll at the top for an idea of what peoples interests are,
Heres My Ideas at the Moment:
SPACE:
Oceans become outer space, and Maps need to be created (to make circular planets) as land become planetary mineral types, or Moons, etc. Units are mostly 'Water' Units except planetary defenders for land, and the Highly advanced 'Air' ships that planet hop... maybe mineral packets? anyone play Stars....
DUNGEON:
very very nicely done for Civ2, graphic wise this could look excellent for civ3. Individualised units... with the 'Rush' ability of a Hero. You could have each tech advance be some sort of 'Experience' for the units, which upgrades the unit into the next level, the cost to make the unit prohibitavely high, but each unit counts as a leader and can rush build into the higher unit... Unprobable due to impossible costs to produce....but any 'duplicates' could be explaned as lost twins come to re-unite themselves with kindred (after hearing about the exploits)
NEW YORK:-gansters
Each terrain is actually some sort of building type, your towns are ganster hideouts or headquarters, you spread your 'control' to the local businesses who provide you with various types of support: Cash (food), Manpower (shields) and Influence (Gold), Influence either gets you Molls (entertainment), Contacts(Science) or Laundered Money (Gold).
Terrains: Apartments, High-rises, Business, Suburbia, Slums, Industry, Waterfront, etc
Barbarians would have its own 'police' Unit, but later in game you could make them yourself, they'd be a non-affiliated unit.
FANTASY:
