Loading multiplayer games

How is this done? Im playing with my girlfriend, and we lost sync. Now I cant find a way to load the game, except in singleplayer.

Enlighten me please.

you should be able to load it if you go to start a new multiplayer game and then select that save. At least that's the way I remember loading my last multiplayer game (though that was a while ago).

During the new game? If I press Load Game while playing a multiplayer game Im just told that I cant load a game while playing multiplayer.

You start a multiplayer game just like you are doing a new one. There is an option there to load a saved game.
