Files missing :(

I currently cannot play Civ 3 because it says it misses files.. HOWEVER.. i can neither DE-install nor RE-install, removing the folder and registry wont work either (curiously.. the registry entries reappear everytime)

who knows what i can do to fix the problem???

Try installing it in a different folder or drive (partition).

the problem is.. if i choose install.. it doesn't even give me the chance to install.. it just starts "deleting" (doesn't matter what i select: install, deinstall, reinstall)... does "something" for about 5 secs and then its done.. and nothing is changed

Have you tried some cleaning program (there are a few good ones on a trial basis).

If that don't work, my best advice would be to contact Firaxis

worked my way around the problem...

turns out the game was installed on another PC in the network, so i copied the entire folder.. i can play again, though i doubt a decent deinstall will be possible
