Nothing to do with what is being discussed in this topic, but I just wanted to share some units of a scenario I've been working on but not going to finish anyway.
Not that I do not have a similar problem."I realise I hold the key to freedom,
I cannot let my life be ruled by threads" The Web Frogs
Middle East!

Hi Allard - good to see you again. Great mods - I particularly like the Cossack with the rearing horse

Cheers, well, the cossack's horse is a bit of a failure really; I couldn't get the front legs to look correctly, and I got bored so I just left it like that, but it looks highly unstable now, as if it can topple over any moment.
Well, I do have an update to my Boer War scenario, but Civ2's AI is so utterly unable to fulfill my wishes that it becomes too unmotivating to work on it.
Particularly my flying artillery shells and the supply of the guns is simply too much to ask from the AI. Also, the AI troop movement orders are impossible to program for a longer run than 15-20 turns, which is a must to fulfill the targets around which my scen was framed.
Therefore... no more scenarios from me (though of course plenty ideas).

I think Allard has contributed more than his fair share of scenarios 'that are better suited to the AI's abilities', not least his Magnum Opus 'Riverwar'

That's a real shame Allard. I was really looking forward to an update of the Boer War.
Would it be possible for you to post your unfinished scenarios here at the SLeague, just in case any of the designers here feel like they can finish off any of your projects. It would be a shame to allow all that work to go to waste...STDs are like pokemon... you gotta catch them ALL!!!

My suggestion was for him to continue to make scenarios geared to the AI's abilities, rather than to try to push the AI into doing something its' not capable of doing.

steam tank concept,
I'll guess the specs,
Engien: steam engien
Max speed: 0.9mph (assuming it does't tip over or break a wheel)
Armament: 3 muzzle loading cannons
crew: 8
size:Big
graphic: not really done, just the basic concept layed out,I am not delusional! Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go dance with the purple wombat who's playing show-tunes in my coffee cup!
Rules are like Egg's. They're fun when thrown out the window!
Difference is irrelevant when dosage is higher than recommended!

Some more edits of Fairline units, same story as the other units. This time about the battle between Boer and Brit.
@BrokenErika: always original, indeed"Dilexi iustitiam, odivi iniquitatem, propterea morior in exilio" [PAPA GREGORIUS VII +1085] - ("He amado la justicia, he odiado la iniquidad, por eso muero en exilio") - ("I loved justice, I hated unfairness, that's why I die in exile") - (J'ai aimé la justice, j'ai détesté l'iniquité, c'est pourquoi je meurs en exil") - ("Ich liebte Gerechtigkeit und hasste Ungerechtigkeit, deshalb sterbe ich im Exil")
