      Thanks Techumseh.

Which Roman Civil Wars didyou have in mind (Julius Ceasar vs Pompey?)

I'll see what I can do with the Parthians.... I'll try a cataphract and a horse archer.

In the meantime, here are some late Romans c. 250 - 550 AD and a Sassanid cataphract. The clibanarius' horse started life as a BeBro creation.

Sounds good. Here are some quick and dirty Romans-recycled-as-Parthians. The first cataphract is 3rd century AD (no good for you), but the second is 1st century BC. I'll post more later.

Are there specific unit types you are after?

@ tanelorn: really nice Polish plane. I think that Anzac is making a compilation of Nemo-style units - you should submit it to him.

Techumseh: a Ptolemaic army should include Cleruch heavy cavalry (Macedonian companions), Egyptian light cavalry, Macedonian phalangites, peltasts, 'Romanised' legionaries, Galatian infantry, slingers/archers and African elephants. Not sure whether you should include a scyth-chariot; they were certainly used by the Seleucids in the 2nd century BC.

Ceasar's army should have access to Gallic cavalry while the other factions would have inferior Italian cavalry.

Here are some more units, with more to follow:

top row: Roman legionaries, Gallic cavalry and Italian cavalry

bottom row: Ptolemaic phalanx, legion and Companion cavalry

These are the units I was talking about. You know, since his website went down, much of his brilliant work is difficult to find. All I know is that he must have been working on it (Alamo), but it never came out.

Sorry to triple post (got to get rid of this pesky 'settler' tag somehow )

Here are some late hellenistic units:

top, Seleucid: Companion, cavalry, legion and phalanx
bottom, Ptolemaic: elite cavalry, tarentine cavalry, legion, phalanx and Galation (celt) mercenary

Has anyone got any elephant graphics?

                        Right, here you go Techumseh.

This is what I've done so far. I'll probably replace the celtic archer with a javelinman. I also plan to do a Ptolemaic peltast (heavier armed than average) and some Armenians. I may have a go at a British chariot and ptolemaic elephant, although Prometeus posted one not so long ago.

BTW the use of phalangite infantry is a bit dubious in the 1st century BC, having looked into it further, although they would make good 'defender' units with the legion as ptolemaic 'attackers'.

Is there anything else you need (hero units, for example?)

It's fairly easy, if laborious, in PSP. I used this method to recolour my Crusader (posted a couple of pages ago)from green to desert camo.

Some Alexander the Great units (phalanx, hypaspist and heteroi), and late hellenistic peltasts for Tech.

Here we have some medieval era units that I whipped up. They will need touching up I think, but you get the idea, these are good bases for you all to start with. We'll start with artillery:

Top row: Demicannon, Demiculverin, Culverin, Serpentine, Seige Cannon

2nd row: Ballista, Catapult, Trebuchet (needs work), Bombard and Mangonel.

I haven't given them much time, not even markings for the shields. But if you needs something in this area, these should be good places to start.

                              Enjoy.

                              -FMK.

1st row: Chivalric Knights, Boyars, BNyzantine Infantry, Chivalric Foot Knights, Chivalric Seargents (needs work)

2nd row: Early Royal Gulam Knights, Late Royal Gulam Knights, Knights Templar (slightly too big)

Egh, I gotta go to bed now, I'll do some more later ifg you guys like them.
