Converting bmp's from 24-bit to 16-bit...
... isn't a problem anymore.
Everyone knows that ACDSee opens them. Well, I've just tried the version SR-1; it has a built-in editor with a command that can convert the image to the desired depth.
I opened an old 24-bit file of mine (an icons.bmp) and converted it this way. ToT loads it perfect. Yeehao!
