Presidential Election Results

Washington -- With the election of Republican candidate Malcom S. Forbes Jr. to the highest office in the land beating out President Albert Gore Jr. in a tight race. Malcolm S. Forbes got just 47% percent of the vote while Gore going for his second term in officer after defeating Bob Dole in the 1996 Presidential Elections, got just 42%. The remaining 11% went to went to third party candidates, with 9% going to Pat Buchanen and 2% going to Ralph Nadar and the Greens. Any other candidates made inconsequential showings. Forbes a staunch libertarian will undoubtably try to re arrange and change America's burdensome tax system and try to close many of the loopholes and make the system easier.

President Darron congratulates his fellow Republican friend in winning the elections in the United States of America.

We propose more troops be sent to the Panama Canal by both our nations (OOC: See alternate history... we have joint control on it) due to recent geurilla attacks in the area.

We would also like to ask political support against the Nigerian military coup.

The Italian Government will support the USA in any problems. Our Nations does heavy trading with the US, and Pacifica so we will always be on the side of the western governments...
