The Italian Governments senses that your government wants to create a viable education system, efficent economy and strong government. We will support you on every step... and lets not be hostile as history has told us.

Abyssinian Goverment to Hold Poll Regarding the Restoration of the Old Monarchy

President Gudada has issued a poll asking the Abyssinian people for their opinion on the possible restoration of the Old Abyssinian Monarchy, the goverment that lead one of the oldest civilizations in the world through 2000 years of history. If the Monarchy was restored, it would be largely cermoninial in pourpose and would be a symbol of pride to the nation.

Abyssinia, Dijbouti, and Eritrea Founding Members of new United Africa (UA) Alliance

With the chaos going on currently in Western Africa, the countries of East Africa have good reason to be worried that this chaos could spread to their nations if they continue to be disunited. Dijbouti, and Eritrea, two small countries, would be unable to defend themselves should a foreign power invade them.
It is because of this threat that the United Africa Alliance was formed. Under the terms of the alliance, all members (currently Abyssinia, Dijbouti, and Eritrea) shall join their respective militarys together, and defend and support each other if war erupts, free trade shall exist between all member nations, and steps will be continually taken so that someday, All of the glorious continent of Africa shall be united.
The capital of the UA is located at Addis Ababa.

                Training of Special Forces Begins

Today more then ever, we need men in our armed forces that can fight on a wide variety of terrain. We need troops that we can deploy quickly to get in, get the job done, and get out before the main forces arrive. It is for this reason that I, President Bukassa Gudada, have created the Desert Warfare and Mountain Warfare Divisions. These units of 10,000 and 5,000 men, respectively, are to be specially trained and equiped with the best equipment we can give them.
The Desert Warfare units will be useful if needed to fight in the flat, arid plains of neighboring countries, while the Mountain Warfare division shall be trained for both convential and guerilla warfare.

The Italian Government acknowldegdes this alliance and will provide aide, whether it be military or economical.

OOC: Abyssinia (Ethopia) has MiG-29 Fighter Jets and SU-27s according to a newspaper, all inherited from the Destroyed Pro-Soviet Regime. So it looks like you may be in good hands.

                          Road Construction Begins

"Our nation needs roads desperatly, for they are the lifelink that allows goods, people, and resources to move between areas freely" said President Gudada, in a recent interview with a local news network.
This is why I have personally ordered the construction of several major roads that will make travel between our major cities easier. The roads shall also make rural areas more accesible. Not only that, but this construction work will create many new jobs and help your economy, both in the short and long term.

Construction work is to begin immediately and should be done within a year.
