  • Map Editor for CIV II TOT

I am playing the TOT version of CIV II on an old Windows 98 machine.

I have tried downloading a map editor on the CIV II MGE called MapEdit but got an error A Required .DLL file MSVBVM60.DLL was not found.

I wish I could find an editor for TOT.

Any suggestions on this or how to get CIV II MGE MapEdit or similiar to work?

    Thanks

I wish I could help, I loved TOT with its four stacked maps.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Ok, found a MapEitor however am having a time how to implement in game.

I launch the CIV2 Maps and then generate the map place 6 civilizations on map generated then I do my things to the land I want, add many rivers. I save.

Here is where I have a problem: I launch the TOT and pick premade map and when you do this you have to pick numbers of civs but I already set these? How can I launch the map with the cIV's I picked?

One other thing how can I edit a map at a later time?

Say I work on a map for an hour, save it then couple days later want to work on it again? I dont know how to edit the map after saving and leaving? I "could" do one tile at a time but want to use the editor so I can do 3 X 3 or even 5 X 5 plots, add rivers mountain and hill ranges.

Hope I am expressing myself clearly what I want to accomplish.

Gramps the Greatfull for any guidance!
