National colours

I want to alter the national colour located above the units health bar:



I know this has probably been asked before, and I have taken a look at the info at Catfish's Cave but it doesn't help. For example, the Macedonians are Orange, but their unit colour shows as brown which is the Celts colour. I tried giving them the most pale orange possible in the appropriate square but it still shows up as brown.



Any ideas how to get around this?

That's pretty much what he said on his site. The problem is nearly all the Civ's units seem to turn out fairly similar shades of brown. I will have a play around to see if I can get a slightly better blend, but I'm loathed to do so as I like the Civ colours I have picked!

You know that sprites and team colours are not refreshed by a simple reload? You need to first quit to the main Test of Time menu and then load the saved game to view any changes you've made.

Yes, I gathered that, thanks. I think I can live with it as most of the nations have their own unit types. The exceptions are the Hellenic nations, so I may try and sort their colours to help players distinguish them.

The colour on the unit key is approximately half the RGB value you set in cities.bmp, so it's always going to appear duller. Perhaps the cells are out of alignment. Post your cities.bmp file.
