  • Reviving Empires

I have a question, and I think the answer is probably no, but I thought I'd ask: is it possible to revive an eliminated tribe with the events file?
We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes. -- Gene Roddenberry

No, I don't think so, but it might be possible by manipulating the schism trigger.

Make sure "Don't restart eliminated tribes" is not selected.

If a tribe is wiped out, one of the other two in that colour is reborn with a settler.
Eventually, the old tribe comes back. But in "rules.Txt" you could rename the other
two civs with the same name. EG: Rename all the white civs to the Romans.

The only trouble is that the civ comes back as a setter, though it does have all the
techs it researched. As Harry says, the schism leads to an empire splitting into two
civs when the capital is taken. This extra civ will be an eliminated one or a spare.

This might be useful if you kept a civ in reserve as part of a storyline, but perhaps not.

The first method is the best, in my opinion.
Merely rename the Leaders part in the Rules text to suit.

      Hope that was of help!
