  • Creating a Ning Civ2 community...

...So what should it be called?

This is something I have been meaning to do for ages, but with work, 2D work, and
a zillion other things taking over my time, I am only getting around to it now!

Basically, I think the Ning system is easy to use, and is perfect for CIV2 news updates.
Meaning we can all add our own events or items and flag them up for instant reading...

    Why?

Remember how we used wikipedia to store all the CIV2 scenarios and articles? Because
it is an easily manipulated system and was streets ahead of the old mod-hosting here?

    Same reason for using Ning.

I have been on the Scottish Cartoonists Society for ages, and it really transformed
the comics and cartoon art community in Glasgow...It helped open up communications.

Ning iterally brought the Glasgow underground comic scene back from nothing.

The Poly news system is not really suitable for our needs, to arcane and clunky. Once
we get our regular CIV2 updates up on Ning, you'll wonder why we didn't do this earlier.

So, if we are in agreement - All we need is a name for our CIV2 news/events community.

I'll set it up. But the beast belongs to all of us.

It's like social networking, but without all the horror of Facebook or Myspace.

Here's the SCS site I post at - We've been using it for ages without trouble.

How about the Civ 2 Scenario League Ning Site. . Or give it a creative name, like "The Diplomat: Civ 2 Scenario League News"

I like the sounds of that!

I'll hang back and pick up some more suggestions - !
But that is a strong contender right there!

Would this be instead of the Apolyton Forum?
