virus and am currently considering reformatting to vaciniate!

My deepest sympathy for needing to reformat your HD. I had to go through the same miserable exercise a couple of months ago to get rid of a Trojan horse that disabled all anti-virus and anti-malware software. It put ODJOB II out of commission for a week.
