Gareth! I'm doing well, mate. I had a sleepless night the other evening and did a lot of reminiscing about the ol' Civ days. I thought I'd stop over and see whos still around. I guess when you turn 30, you start to reflect a bit, lol.
Are you guys still doing MGE/ToT stuff or have you all moved on to whatever the latest Civ game is nowadays?

Hi Rob. Long time no see indeed . . . . . 3.5 years according to my dusty correspondence file. Welcome back.
SL designers are still actively exploring the capabilities of TOT and coming up with some very interesting applications in their scens. Also, the TOT version of Nemo's Red Front is finally nearing the beta stage.Excerpts from the Manual of the Civilization Fanatic :
Money can buy happiness, just raise the luxury rate to 50%.
Money is not the root of all evil, it is the root of great empires.

Cool. I do have to apologize for disappearing on that. I had made so much progress on the events and such, but I don't remember much of the circumstances. I have a tenancy to freak out sometimes and split. I hope there are no hard feelings?
I did find an old folder I had on an old hard drive, it has all of my Civ material from back in the day, but unfortunately neither Stalingrad or nor the old stuff for RF ToT are there, though some other interesting things are. Its a shame, that stuff represents countless hours of work so long ago.
So I wonder how many of the old guard is still here? Case, ANZAC, Henrik, Xin Yu... I saw Tecumseh is still posting... man, these are names that I haven't heard in a long time.
I bought Civ4 whenever that came out, but it didn't last very long... I think there have been several since then, but nothing like the ol' MGE. I think I may still have my MGE & ToT disks laying around, I'll have to look.

The potential for civ IV was great - lots of moddable text files for units and events, but I quickly gave up on it as it was buggy as hell...

I bought Civ4 but didn't get through many games of it. It kind of felt a bit like EU, where there is just too much to keep track of for my tastes. I always have this thought that the computer is keeping way better track of things than I can, or would care to. Presumably there wont be any modding going on for the console version they're putting out?

Hey Klesh, good to see you again! I still lurk 'roundabouts here. Too busy to commit really to gaming or participating or creating. But enjoy seeing all the stuff everyone comes up with: just when you thought it couldn't get any better...Georgi Nikolai Anzyakov, Commander Grand Northern Front, Red Front Democracy Game

Looks like its old home week. Good to see see some of the old crew is still around.
We did a Demo Game of the MGE Red Front a while back, remember that ANZAC?*"Winning is still the goal, and we cannot win if we lose (gawd, that was brilliant - you can quote me on that if you want. And con - I don't want to see that in your sig."- Beta
