  • Steampunk/ China Mieville

Out of curiosity- did any designer ever make a Steampunk/Neo-Victorian themed game... or perhaps something in the style of China Mieville?

    thanks,

    DC.

Something like the Verne scenario in MPG (not sure if its in any earlier versions of the game), but with ToT, more interesting events, and much more steampunk.

That's one possibility, not necessarily the best.

IIRC Harry Tuttle was making a Verne scen for ToT. Though he hasn't finished it yet..

Yes. It's a play on cyberpunk, another literary sub-genera of science fiction.

I really enjoyed reading China Mieville's Perdido Street Station and The Scar but the defining character of those books seemed more like Lovecraft style fantasy than Steam Punk IMO. I think Broken_Erika has made some steampunk-esque unit mods in the past. Try sifting through the sci-fi/fantasy art thread

I have to sift through the forums....my computer exploded.
the 5-in-1 card reader melted over the hard disk and i cant get the cable out stupid power supply

Once i have my unit collection rebuilt i'll get baqck into unit modding but my obsession with urban exploration is eating up most of my free time, all i need is a website now.

                      What a coincidence . . .

Erika, you posted some spaceships some time ago. Got any more?

Dear Techumseh- yes, exactly. That's what I was looking for!

I'll have to check out the verne scenario and shift through the other unit lists. Thank you for the advice.

I dunno- Lovecraft's more about cosmic horror... Mieville is about gritty struggles in a Neo-Victorian sort of Dickensian world.

...Starships are most definitely not steampunk...
