When I try to play the game, after many previuos hours of wonderful success, I notice that once the game actually begins the audio is playing much too slowly. Does anyone know how to fix this?

At least for me, when an issue such as this arises, a new Direct X install will sometimes fix it.

I agree with the new DirectX install...and might want to concider getting more RAM for your computer.

I've tried the direct x reinstall and it makes no difference. Microprose tech support E-mailed some tests to perform and the direct x diagnostic program detects a problem with my sound card at direct sound create step 3. I may need a new sound card although the sound works fine to a point in the sequence of starting to play. There is actually a flicker on the screen visible when it begins having the problem.
