  • Test of Time Scenarios: easy to make?

I made a couple of scenarios for Civ 2, using the FW, and also the MGE add-ons. They were pretty complex, in fact one of them was so complex I had to just give up on it in the end, d'oh!

I've got a friend from another community who's interested in making a scenario with the Test of Time add-on, but I've never actually played ToT... so, being fluent in scenario programming for Civ 2, how easily could I get into making a scenario for ToT?

Its a bit more complex, though not that much.

A simple scenario: not much harder than FW. A little more work to do things manually, that's all. A complex scenario: much more WORK. I'm conviced that the trap many of us have fallen into is trying to do too much with the great potential that ToT offers. People end up being too ambitious and getting frustrated, quiting before they're done. I've seen it happen a number of times to experienced scenario makers. My advice is to keep it simple; start out slowly.

        Well said Techumseh.

The art requirements are also much greater in ToT then in FW.
