what's the future -- help me decide!

Having now learned that many of the scenarios for Civ2 cannot be played with TOT. Do I keep playing TOT or go back to Civ2. The only major advantage I can think of to TOT is the multiple "planets" or levels (oh and animated graphics).

Are most mod's being designed for Civ2 or TOT?
Looking into the online community, is there more for Civ2 or TOT?
Can you install both?

There´s definately more material (mod, scns, whatever) for Civ2 than for ToT.

But you can of course install and play both Civ2 and ToT on the same machine so that way you have the best of both worlds...

ToT has also some advantages for scn designers, but despite this there aren´t many ToT scns. BTW do you know the "Cradle of Civilization" website. it´specialised in ToT, there are also several ToT scenarios available. You can visit it via:

Well, you forgot about CivConverter. It can convert most of the 2.42, FW, and MGE Scenarios to ToT format. I've used to to play some of the cool golden oldies on ToT.

Right now, I have Multiplayer Gold, Test of Time, and Call to Power on one hard disk...it stretches the space limits, but each one has their specialties.

That said, haven't seen many ToT scenarios...would love to see some, or ToT-enhanced versions of older scenarios (which use the improved events, for instance)
