ToT: extended game

It seems there is a bug here. Whenever I start an extended game using a world map for Earth and a different map for alpha centauri, my the civ starting locations on Earth get randomized. Moreover, this is not just any randomization. Mostly it places the starting locations deep into the ocean.
The only way I ever succeeded in starting an Extended game without a randomized location was by using the same map for both planets and strangely enough telling the computer to randomize the starting locations.

Roman, no one can help you because this is simply a really bad bug. I have had that same problem, so what I did was, I created a scenario in which all the comp teams started where they should.

I think it matters that you don't vary the sizes of the maps... ie if AC is 100x100, then Earth has to be 100x100

Make sure you have the patch too.

I agree with Darth Veda.
The 2 maps MUST have the same size and you should get the patch.
Personnaly, I don't have this problem.

To be of any help, I would need more informations :
patch 1.1 or not, memory of your computer, which tribe were you playing, size of the map, did you insert any mod-pack, etc.
But get the patch 1st !

I found that what worked for me was to note the location of each and every starting location on the earth map, and repeat them exactly on the AC map.
