This is the second of several postings to suggest totally different uses of the 4-map capability. One can build four interrelated maps into a scenario, to represent vertical opposing activities at a multilevel site. For example, imagine an old castle built above cliffs and over underground pools. Tribes starting on the various maps can have special goals, in addition to conquest:
- a bottom tribe tries to destroy the underpinnings of the castle (cause disastrous changes to upper maps).
- an upper tribe tries to dig down for various treasures.
- a middle tribe tries to stabilize the terrain (making both the above objectives harder to achieve).
Native transport capability in this approach would be strictly between adjacent maps: 0<>1,
1<>2, 2<>3.
