  • John, an annoying little (GUI) bug in ToT

In ToT, when you click on the rotating world, you get a stable map of the current surface. This display has a pair of UP and DOWN arrows that you use to switch from one map display to another:

    - to go DOWN (say, from the surface to undersea), press the UP arrow.
    - to go UP (say, from the surfaace to the cloud world), press the DOWN arrow.

This is quite confusing. I can't believe it wasn't picked up during routine QA. It would be really nice to fix it.

The arrows actually go Up and Down in terms of the map number (0-3). You're right that it can be confusing. In the SF game, I had the luxury of setting it up so that the Up and Down arrows seemed to make sense, but the way Mick wanted to structure the worlds of Midgard (for gameplay reasons) precluded organizing his maps that way.

This is just one more thing for scenario designers to note.
