How do I add a unit to the Fantasy game?

It looks like it's pretty simple to edit the rules.txt and descriptions.txt files, but how do I add the image of the unit? What I would like to do is take one of the sprites from the other games (the Sci-Fi Game, in this case) and use it as the image for the new unit.

    Here are my questions:

    1. How do you do this?

    2. Is there a guide somewhere on the 'net on how to do this?

    3. What is the relationship of the units.bmp file and all of the .spr files?

    4. Judging from the units.bmp file in the fantasy directory, it might not even be possible to add a unit. Maybe all the slots are full?

Any help would be appreciated. I just want to add a teeny tiny little unit. Just one...

1+2: There is a guide right here on Apolyton. Visit Scenario League and look under design tips. Or just type in this link: http://sleague.apolyton.net/Guides/sldt_ag_art.shtml

3: The .SPR files contain the animations for the units. If you want to replace an existing unit, you have to delete or rename the .SPR file, and then replace the graphic in UNITS.BMP. I don't know if there's a way to edit the .SPR files.

4: You're right; it looks pretty full. I think there's one free slot - it says 'Flag Unit' in the RULES.TXT file. I don't know whether you can use it or not.

    I hope this helps!

Whatever you do DON'T REPLACE THE FLAG UNIT! This is used to trigger many of the events, and they won't function properly without it.
