Tribe colors, its driving me crazy??????

I'm not sure whats wrong here. I changed the
colors of the Roman tribe in the Rules.txt with the Egyptians. The color of the Roman cities are now Yellow which I wanted but the color of the Flags is still grey and also on the small window the color of the Egyptians is still Yellow. Can someone help here? thanks............Civfan

You've run into one of the not-too-well-documented quirks in rules.txt. You cannot change the colors in the rulers section. Yes, you can change the number in the entry, but you shouldn't. It's like the official abbreviations for advances--the color number is how each ruler slot is identified by the game.

So what can you do? If you want to switch the colors of the Romans and Egyptians, you must leave the color numbers alone and swap everything else. Move the Roman entry to the Egyptians' position and make the color number match the position (they're in order). Then move the Egyptian entry to the Roman position and fix that color number, too.
