I am currently having problems with the trasports. I had just made a scenario for myself to play and had three civilizations on one map, the civiliztions on another, and the non-human civilization on a planet of it's own. In the game I am trying to get to the other planets to make an awesome trade systems with the other planetary powers. Ultimatly I want to rule the planet I am on and colonize Earth. But I have a problem, only people on the centauri planet can make colonist. ALso, none of the colonists can make transports. And finally, I used the cheat to build a transport,but no one can use it. It might have to do with the fact that I somehow made four maps in the original game and the game doesn't respond for some reasons. I have no clue on how to make this work, and I don't want to start over. Is it possible to fix?

When you say "Transport" I am assuming you mean Transporter (Teleporter).
I'm guessing, but it sounds like you might not have edited the Rules.Txt in the section @UNITS_ADVANCED correctly.
The correct settings depend on the what different Transport (Teleport) site types you have created in @MAP_TRANSPORT_RELATIONSHIPS
So if for example you had :
@MAP_TRANSPORT_RELATIONSHIPS
0,1 ; 0/1 Earth to Planet1
0,2 ; 1/2 Earth to Planet2
0,3 ; 2/3 Earth to Planet3
1,2 ; 3/1 Planet1 to Planet2
2,3 ; 4/2 Planet2 to Planet3
1,3 ; 5/3 Planet1 to Planet3
In the section @UNITS_ADVANCED you might want your Transporter-Builder (who can build Transporters and also has Engineer-Capabilities) to look like :
11111111, 00000000, 0, 0000000000111111, 0000000000111111, 0000000000000000, 00100000 ; Transporter-Builder
And, say, a MARINE, who can USE (but not build) a Transporter to look like :
11111111, 00000000, 0, 0000000000000000, 0000000000111111, 0000000000000000, 00000000 ;Marine
Both these Units can be built by all tribes, can exist on all maps, can use all 6 types of transporters defined in @MAP_TRANSPORT_RELATIONSHIPS
and neither has "Native Transport" ability.

Thanks Kestrel. I honestly was hoping you would respond since you created that one scenario that was really cool and similiar to this. Oh, yeah I meant those transporters that colonist build. Thanks for the correction. I never bothered to mess with the rule book files. I not very good yet with programing since the last time I tried to mess with Civ2. Thanks!
