        Very good freeware.

How does it compare against programs like Paint Shop Pro and GIMP?

              Try It Out

I downloaded this and have been using it in conjunction with mspaint and paint shop pro. It is definitely FAR superior to paint and has a lot of elements that remind me a lot of photoshop (that I use at work). It seems fairly comparable to paint shop pro (version 4.12) with the fairly exceptional exception that I cannot find any way to access or edit the color palate that goes along with old civ gifs and many other space saving image formats. For my money its an excellent free supplement for psp 4.12, but not a replacement.

Okay, thanks. I use Paint Shop Pro 5, which was incidentally the version that was available in stores roundabout the time Civ2 came out in 1995/1996.

Needless to say, I haven't moved on to any newer PSP program in 11 years.
