  • Can this be done?

    1.) Give a "no,no" tech to a specified civ

2.) the no,no tech is the preq for a wonder

3.) The specified civ builds the wonder

Can this be done? Will the AI NOT build the wonder because the preq is no,no? Anyone done this?

AFAIK, the prereqs of a tech have no effect on it being the prereq of a wonder, an improvement or a unit - or another tech. There are issues around a no, no tech showing up in the civopedia, hence the use of once and twice removed techs, as outlined in Cam Hill's tip.

In AoC the green civ has coloseums, but these have a no,no tech as preq. It won't build them. I can say that with certainty. Improvements won't be built if their preq tech is a no,no . . . even if the civ has the no,no tech.

Which is why I was asking about the wonder. I'm hoping they're different, and can be built.

Does the civ in question have the no,no prereq tech?

No, the civ doesn't have the no,no tech at start. An event will give the no,no tech to the civ, and, hopefully, the civ will then build the wonder.

          That's the plan.

But the refusal of civs to build improvements attached to no,no techs is a bad sign.

Anyone shed any light on this? Used this trick before?
