This is my first attempt at city placement on a map I'm working on. The time period is about 200BC, give or take. There's about 30 city slots open at the moment. Also, pay no attention to city ownership, I have not quite gotten into Civcity just yet.

City placement support and additions are most welcome. Also, terrain suggestions are appreciated as I will most likely have to edit the map for landmass numbering.

It is a ToT save. I tried to load it up in MGE too

The map looks really cool (IE Big ). Did you make it yourself or use a tool?

The Alps region and the Balkans look very good. Transylvania and the Carpathians look too flat.

With a bit of tweaking I think you could be on to a winner here!

It opened okay with ToT, but not MGE's Civ2Map. I like the projection! Looks carefully crafted. Should there be more forest in NW Europe in general? Otherwise, depending on your settings, those cities may multiply like rabbits.

Sorry, should have said ToT. I plan to downgrade the terrain to offer less food than normal. Also I will probably gift settlers to keep the AI from founding a multitude of cities.

@McMonkey: Thanks, I think some tweaking might be needed. I'm attaching the bmp I used to make it. It was basic Mapedit work, nothing else.

@Boco: Thankyou. More forest might be a good idea.

Besides adding some hills to the Carpathians and more forests to NW Europe are there any critiques on the cities? Am I missing some important civic center?
