  • Barbarian Slot Question

    Dumb question:

I was perusing the Barbarian Paper the other day and I didn't notice any blurb that rules out something really basic. If I create a scenario with no sea units, or just change the units occupying the trireme, caravel, and frigate slots to land based units (and move the sea units somewhere else), will the program seek out another sea unit to use when creating sea based barbarian ships?

Or will the program just specifically use the slots designated in the Barbarian Paper, potentially creating a land based unit at sea?

It will use the Trireme, Caravel, or Frigate slot. It may even crash.

Cool. As long as I know that they'll stay in one place everything will be fine. Thanks.

Of course if you move the transport ships to the slots of land units which appear on the pirate ships normally, you'd still end up with seafaring barbarians.
