Just thought I'd start a new thread for new pages created cause we visit the forum much more often than the S-League itself. Then whenever the thread is bumped up, it means there is something new.

Now that's a thought. Give Rangers 1-and-a-fraction (same with Faramir) movement. Not -quite- enough for hit and run, but enough to make them a little better without warping the balance.

I was going through the Marrick's Advanced Scenario Design (post#4) - it's contents were illuminating but his format was a nightmare, at least five different levels of indenting, but using only two layers of indexing.

So I've gone the extra mile and reformated it and uploaded a new PDF version - using version 1.9 which I found at the CivMania website. It took a couple of hours, but it was well worth it. check it out.

Looking through some of the articles on the old site, its not surprising they were never transferred over - the complexity of transcribing all the tables and stuff into wiki compatible pages is overwhelming. Maybe PDF is the way to go?

I finally played Trakoria, Rise of the Clavian Empire, which had been on my hard disk for years. I found it to be truly exceptional and uploaded it to the S-Leage site. I'm not joking when I say it feels like it was released just yesterday, not a decade ago.

Looks really interesting, will give it a go. It never ceases to amaze me how CivII can keep throwing up surprises after all these years. A few years ago (before I discovered Apoly) I thought that the game was dead and buried...what a fool! LONG LIVE CIV!

I have just finished uploading all the files to the S-League Wiki page that Fairline kindly sent me. There were quite a few new ones I had not seen before so this may be their debut!

Scenario League Resources

I hope to add more of Gareth's and others work on an ongoing basis. There is so much to sort through but this fine collection is a good starting point. If anyone else wants to help me upload graphics, utilities, guides or scenarios then feel free, the SL Wiki is open to everyone.

Next on my list are Terrains and Cities. There are also a huge number of classic scenarios that need adding. The collection is looking quite decent nowadays but it is still far from complete.

Bitmaps to PNGs with no loss of quality

Basically Catfish was asking why the SL Units section had to have PNG previews and the Bitmaps in zipped files. He suggested a utility called PNG Gauntlet which can compress Bitmaps into PNGs with no loss of data/quality. Just thought it may be useful. The utility is a doddle to use and could save a lot of time when uploading and manipulating images.
