    Just to let all my fellow CIV2 posters know that I will be going for a short holiday in the rural splendour
    of Dumfries till Monday evening. I plan to upload Dictator6 onto the SL-Wiki as soon as I get back.

    In the meantime, I leave you in the very capable hands of Arthedain!

    Have a good weekend, all!

        No full-time mod? At last I can live my dream of posting this kind of stuff on the SL forum:

        From Natacha Allou
        ABIDJAN COTE D' IVORIE

        Dearest one,

        I am Miss Natacha Allou, from Ivory Coast. We are orphan's being that we lost our parents.My father was a serving director of the Cocoa exporting board until his death.

        He was assassinated by the rebels following the political uprising. Before his death he made a deposit of ($15,500,000.00)here in Côte d´Ivoire in security company .This fund he intended to buy a cocoa processing machine.

        I want you to help me for us to retrieve this fund and transfer it to your account in your country or any safer place as you will be the beneficiary and recipient of the fund .

        I have plans to do investment in your country, like real estate and industrial production. This is my
        reason for writing to you. Please if you are willing to assist me and my younger brother ,indicate your interest in replying soonest.

        Thanks and best regards .
        Miss Natacha Allou
        It's an offer too good to miss, so I thought that I should share it!

          @Case: are those kind of mail still around? I haven't received any in the last few years: maybe my "reputation as an honest man" in Africa is a thing of the past??

          @curt: eager to see the release, mate! and if I read the press well, you left for the week-end as a Brit and might well come back as a soon to be independent Scot...

            It's a copy and paste from an email sent to my hotmail account this morning. I used to regularly get Russian mail-order brides emailing me at my work account (which was an Australian Government email address).

            I can forward them onto you if you're looking for some money or a lovely bride

              @Cyrion:
              It will be funny to see how this spectacle with Scottish Labour and SNP ends up.

              @Case:
              The best one I ever got was a guy claiming to be an illegitimate son of GW Bush!

                    419 baby. Hey, you've got to be a bit careful though, these guys will go as far in another version of the scam as to simply pretend to legitimate international purchasers, then insist on paying by check, a fake check comes in the mail (for more than the amount agreed on) and banks will make funds available prior to the check actually clearing (law in the USA that funds need to be made available within 5 days or something). Presumably you wire the 'customer' some or all of the difference, and/or ship the product. These guys hit the solar manufacturing industry en-masse a while ago.

                    Oh yeah, I have a new job, not teaching anymore, but selling solar modules out of Tokyo. So if anyone is interested in solar, I'm your civer.

                    Please don't send checks.

                      Not for you - they're only interested in Australian public servants.
