  • The Ages of Crusades and Imperialism

Exiles classic Age of Crusades and Age of Imperialism are both now available on the Scenario League. I would highly recommend Imperialism. Have not played Crusades yet but will do at the first available opportunity!

    Here's the links:

    The Age of Imperialism

Both pages need finishing off but the file downloads are good to go!

Imperialism was one of the first games I played properly when I first found the CFC scenario archive. I remember playing as the Japanese and having to trade like hell to stay solvent. Initially expansion was slow as they had no siege equipment. As the game progressed I managed to carve out an Empire in China and the Dutch East Indies. The key was to stay on good terms with the British and Americans until I was heady to stab them in the back

I am certain that there are other classics that still need to be uploaded to the scenario league, just a case of finding the time! The big advantage of the SL is that it is exclusively populated with the best of the scenarios created without the chaff that you find in archives such as CFC! (although I am sure they were fun at one point c.1998)

        Ok, flattery will get you . . . .

        more work.

I'll send some of my others to you later today and you can add those. There are about 8 or 9 I think, but I'll weed a little. Personally, I think ModAge and AoW are failures. Chaff, as you put it. But some seem to like AoW, so I'll send it along. It needs a rework, and I'm on it. let me finish the Roman scen first.

Hey that a rodge. My email seems to be taking incomming still but I can't fire back. Not a huge problem at the mo. Have you taken a look at the SL yet?

Look forward to Rome. Had a look at Italian Wars but I don't have time to play it just now (looks awsome!). I'm quite busy working on WWII Europa which I am going to rename Fortress Europe ToT (unless there is another Fortress Europe already?).

Sorry Phenix, but if anybody except yourself wrote that, I would just have to come down on him like "a ton of rectangular building things"!

I honestly really like AoW, and even if it might not work as you would like, it's really an excellent scenario with great playability!

But I'm really glad you're working on a remake: if you manage to make it even better, I won't mind and will gladly play it!

BTW: what is it you're not happy with? I know you already explained some time ago, but what with my old age, my memory...
