Yeah. As I said before the Nam scenario is my top priority. I am sure I will get it working again. It will be good to have the others to play around with when I get burned out working on the Nam. I think I will keep the Balkans scenario as an MGE game as I don't need the extra units spaces and the main events will be Gallipoli and Salonika.
Thanks for your patience

For future reference, you can save yourself a bit of typing (in one go at any rate!) by getting yourself into the directory with civconverter in first.
The command 'cd' ('change directory' IIRC from DOS days?) followed by the directory name in which the civconverter exe lives will remove the need to start future commands with the civconverter location. cd\ will move you back up the directory tree. dir /p will give you a list of all the files in your current location.
Once in the civconverter location just type the following (obviously 30YW is the name of the folder/directory where the scenario 30YW.scn lives):
civconverter c:\30YW\30YW.scn
As Boco said, dos doesn't like spaces in file names, and it didn't use to like file names with more than 8 characters IIRC.

Thanks Fairline. Another dumb question. Is it possible to convert a scenario then modify it and then save it as a scenario again. I have my WWII Europa for ToT in mind. I will read through Catfish's doc when I get round to doing version 2.

Yes it is. Select 'save as scenario ' from the cheat menu; make sure you don't have your events file present in the scenario folder to prevent events firing off on the first turn while editing.

I've only tried this utility once, when I converted my 'Contemporary Middle East' scen to ToT several years ago, and I had to try several times. That scen's on the block along with EotRS, KW, and RotTR (which may be salvagable after all) as my four principal almost done stragglers.
