  • A Strange Phenomenon Discovered while Polishing.

    Anyone ever had the pyramids act funny?

    Has it ever reset its own obs tech, for example?

    Mine SEEMS to be doing that, but I'm suspicious.

    When I look at a city within the scen, it has no granary, but on the city screen, it has the little green line across the granary space indicating that the Pyramids ARE working.

    But

    When I hit the improvements editor, it indicates that it has switched the obs tech to a tech that a civ ALREADY has acquired--so the granary effect shouldn't be on.

    This is strange.

    Even moreso; If I skip through 3 turns, the granary effect is still active.

    Yes, I've noticed that too. If you set the obsolescence directly in the rules.txt, the issue should go away.

        the answer is . . .

        the phenomena disappears . . . just as soon as I delete the "backup" file that the editors create every time one is closed. Gotta get rid of those every time you close an editor.
