I quite like "Age of togas". Sounds like the title of a carry on film!

@Turno
Can't use the first one as it has the word "Rome" in it!
What does "Aeterna civitas" mean? Has a nice ring to it.

Clear as mud?
So, yeah, I think "Aeterna civitas" might be appropriate, as it doesn't necessarily refer to Rome.The Ghost of the Disco is ... your mastermind, your mastermind!

I will use that name unless something better crops up!
Quick question that may save me lots of trial and error.
I am using setting game at 1 year pur turn. How many turns should have elapsed (starting year) if I want the game to begin in 281 B.C.?

Well, since this scen refers to Rome, i thought about Aeterna civitas as scen's name because it resumes both of the beginning and ending glories of this town: the past glories - the empire, all of the conquests and magnificence - and the new ones - Christianity, the Church.

I think Aeterna civitas sounds cool. I have been away for the past week and then came home and had a 70 mile bike ride through the Welsh valleys that almost wiped me out!
Worked out the final wonders today. Just need to cover the map for all the nations, sort out the dates and get the title to work then this baby should be ready for testing. Remember it is designed for PBEM but a SP ToT version will be my one of my next goals.

Beta version of Aeterna Civitas PBEM
The Beta version is ready for download at:
Aeterna Civitas download
There are probably a few bugs to be ironed out. I need to add sounds, write a Read me file, make a tech tree printout and add a few other bits before I would consider this complete.
Please feel free to download the files and let me know what you think. I have allowed myself a bit of artistic licence where historical accuracy is concerned as this is intended for PBEM. Once it has been played through I will work out how to make a ToT single player version
P.S. Can anyone explain how to get the "Title" picture to work. I have saved it as a Gif at the same scale as others but it either ends up as a black screen or the colours are inverted!Last edited by McMonkey; June 4, 2007, 06:38.
