  • Sound Files

    Hi

I am new to this forum & in the UK, I also have a PC with Windows XP.

I have just bought Civilization Chronicles & can not find the sound files for Civ 2 & Civ 2 Test of Time.
On disc 1 it says the sound files are on disc 2 as there was no room for them on disc 1.
I have installed the latest Indeo files & still can not get sound with the 2 games, i Have checked all discs but to no anail.

    Thanks for any help
    Alan

    You should have a civ2\sound directory containing aircombt.wav ... torpedos.wav.

If these files are to be found on your disk set simply create the sound directory directly under your civ2 directory and copy them in to it.

A bunch of machines cannot read the sounc files on a mixed-mode CD. Starlifter did a thread on how to get the files off here:
We all know you can make lovely music with Civ 2... but how can you listen to Civ 2 music from your CD anytime? Problem: Civ 2 MGE is a mixed-mode CD. Some may know what that means & can instantly deal with it. Many do not. Here is what you do to get your music so you can listen to it...
