I know this should probably be in the Classic Civ's or even Off-Topic forums, but hell, all my friends are here, so I'll post here rather than reminesce with complete strangers. Does anyone remember the Intellivision game 'Utopia?' It was the first Civ-style game I ever played, back in the mid-80's. Though ultra-simplistic, even as Civ1 goes, I played it for hours back then. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Or, does anyone know any other pre-Civ1 Civ-style games?

The second graphic looks almost identical to Populus on the Megadrive...
Powermonger was all about killing as many sheep as possible, conscripting everyone, and getting lucky by finding a village that had a Workshop, and nearby Iron/Trees, in order to build weapons to stand a chance against enemy armies. It was quite good, in that you often had to go guerilla, finding and attacking undefended villages, and avoiding the enemy army whilst you built up your strength...

Hey! I also have that CD...small worldSkeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.
