  • I Effing Hate Tot

I've always had ****ing problems with my copy... one day for some odd reason it simply decided not to work. I can't play it, I can't install it (even though I installed it on this computer the other day). All the ****ing scenario's are now moving towards TOT, but my copy never seems to work. When it comes to finding a No-CD crack for TOT you may aswell try dismantling the Great Wall of China brick for brick... it's impossible.

    I HATE TOT.

I have never had any problems with my versions of CIV2, and that is using Win95, Win98, WinMe and WinXP...

I reckon if you are using a legit copy of the game, it must not like something on your system.

Other than that, it might be the no-CD crack that is the problem maker?

I have the german original CD from TOT, when i will play it, i have to put in the CD.
I´m afraid, that the CD could get damage and non-readable if i use it to often.

If someone could help me with a german No-CD crack, it would be very great...

I don't know about a crack, but here's a cheap download for ten dollars US: http://www.download.com/3000-2119-10...ml?tag=lst-2-9

Obviously, it's not ToT that you hate, it's that you're having trouble playing it. You are right, that would be horrible!

Here's the deal - I can install the game with the CD, but when it comes to playing the game nothing happens... it doesn't load, it doesn't do anything... like my commands are entierly being ignored.

It's not just my system - I've tried it on three Computers including a laptop. It must be my copy, and it's distressing to learn that my copy is now ****ed beyond measure... cracks please... help me... I need it...

You can run a legitimate installed copy of ToT with any civ CD (or at any rate I use an FW CD to preserve my ToT original). I haven't tried with ToT, but you can run original civ2 with an otherwise blank CD which has had a folder named 'CIV2' burned to it.

Also, you may want to check that ToT is running in Windows 95 compatibility mode; my pc is running XP. Right click on the ToT icon, click properties and select the 'compatibility tab'. Select windows 95 in compatibility mode. Not sure if this would cause a problem if you have anything else selected.

I would shell out the mere £5-10 and buy a fresh and minty new copt of ToT.

I copy two vanilla original copies of the game just in case!
And also, the ToT CD can be copied without any fuss...!

Gamecopyworld has an English no-cd 'hack' for ToT 1.1.

The biggest totally free game fix & trainer library online for PC Games [https://gamecopyworld.com]

I figure that posting a no-cd link to a 5+ year old game (Gee does that make me feel old) is probably not going to lead to a great deal of software piracy. If however the great and powerful mods deem otherwise then they should please feel free to remove the link.

[Edit: Apparently they claim that it'll work on the German version as well as long as it has the 1.1 English patch applied ... ]
