  • WW II Extreme mode

Ok, since no one is interested in playing for minor civs, here is another proposal: 3 players take Russians, Axis, and Allies. The 4th player controlls all minor nations. Minor nations are all allied.

This game would need 3 players, here is the list:

    Russians:............................OPEN
    Turks: ISeeALL
    Axis:....................................OPEN
    Spanish: ISeeALL
    Neutrals: ISeeALL
    Allies:...................................OPEN
    French: ISeeALL

    Suggested house-rules:

    1. No nukes

    2. Allowed spy/diplomat actions: all except from bribing city/unit and planting nuclear device.

    3. All actions with caravans are allowed except from the food-caravan trick.

    4. Alliances between human players are allowed, as well as unit/tech gifting, teleporting units etc. Wars among human players are generally discouraged until January 1945. Direct contact with a human civ through F3 is NOT allowed. Any diplomacy between human players should be first discussed openly in this thread.

    5. Stacking bombers with non-air units disallowed. No uncrashable planes.

    6. Building airbases inside city radius disallowed.

    7. Reloading and editing rules.txt disallowed.

    8. Government switching is _allowed_ when the corresponding tech is discovered and an invitation to change goverment pops up.

Hmm.. Very, very original and interesting idea. How are these minor civs so interesting to play? The thought of LOADS of units from these large civs doing the dumbest things ever due to the magnificent civ2 AI..

Well, you start the game in an unusual for Civ 2 situation where your empire is about to be destroyed by greatly outnumbering forces, and your task is to "stand up from your knees" while literally struggling for sirvival every single turn. WWII scenario is more difficult compared to the usual game because Axis WILL attack even if you give them money, behave well and cancel any alliances they may be angry about. Allying with the Axis won't help either, because you will make Amerians angry that way.

Ah, I get it. However, the daunting thought of lumbering idiots all around the map put me off, Im afraid
