* Great Britain intervenes in Ethiopia!
Earlier this year insurgents in Ethiopia took control of the country. Britain and its ally the U.S of A immideatly reached an agreement that something had to be done. Thus in august of 2004 British troops arrived to the region and launched an attack. The invaion was a complete success and the government in Ethiopia is hereby reestablished. British troops will remain in the country until order is reigns and the insurgency is defeated.

* Canadian traderoute established with Russia

* Israel ask for international (especially U.S) support in the fight against terrorists working from Lebanon. The northern front is yet again (after suffering from heavy terrorist attacks) reinforced.

I dont see why not have it buildable though, I think that without SDI this scenario is heading towards inevitable nuclear annihilation.

To be honest, WITH SDI the nuclear annihilation is even more likely due to MAD no longer applying.

I completely agree with Eurisko. That is why there was a cold war; neither party had fool proof nuclear deterrents, thus relying on their nuclear weapons to defend themselves. Fear can be a great human quality sometimes
