Has anyone seen Typhoon on the forum as of late? I can't remember seeing him around for the last little bit.

Hey folks!
I guess there's is still a "silent" mass of scenario-consumers who perhaps just download and enjoy, but don't post at internet forums.
Also the Civ2-community is at any rate bigger than a 30 people as bare at German Civilisation Webring Forum there is still a little but proud and withstanding community of 5-10 people.
So let's focus forwards and perhaps improve connections between our communitys.Deutscher Meister 2004: WERDER BREMEN

Gotta say, I still pop in briefly these days and lurk. But I can't even remember the last time I fired up old civ2...and that's not because of civ4 but rather there have been many other games I've been playing and enjoying: Rome Total War and Oblivion being two current favs.
I still have two civ2 WIPs, including the Chandragupta scenario from SDC5 that was never finished in time :s , that I would like to see completed, which I can't see happening...
OTOH, having just bought a home of my own I'm going to be in debt until the end of 2007, with lots of leave to use up and no money to go anywhere...maybe I'll get back to it."I didn't invent these rules, I'm just going to use them against you."

This is a slightly odd response. I don't really fit any of the categories. I'm pretty bad at Civ 2 and I haven't played it in a while. The last scenario I played was the Discworld one about a year ago (which was very fun). I still visit here occassionally and enjoy reading it.
Caution! Under no circumstances confuse the mesh with the interleave operator, except under confusing circumstances!

People often remark of me, "You say sorry far to much!". To which my common-sense reply is "I apologise".

Well, better late than never.
Though I do have a scen idea Ive been working on and off for the past.. what, 5 years... I'm much more of a scen player than anything else.
I've been really quiet for this past year, as I was working 8 - 8 to save up money for this trip, and now Im on the trip till january, so little chance for me to post till then... In any case I didnt post that much in the past anyways.
I don't think Civ 2 will die off, especially scenario making, though we might slowly migrate into one of the open source projects out there... Either that or we'll get the source code.
Hey, anyone know what happened to that guy who had hacked the game and introduced a couple of modifications? Like settlers being unable to fund new cities and stuff like that?
Anyways, I've got to go, so greetings from a lost Argentine Civ2er in EuropeIndifference is Bliss

My response was: "I haven't made a scen but I will make one or more". This is my dream at least.. I have had two major projects in my life at about 30% complete and then my PC decided that its life was horrible and killed itself (reboot). I am planning on a scenario though.. I have all my scetches on paper and ready to be implemented into the rules.txt and other strange documents which are beyond me"[A thoughtful Quote]" -Oscar Wilde
