I don't know about you guys but my games folder holds not too many games save Civ2 MGE resp. ToT. I also play games like Call to Power, Alpha Centauri (which in my opinion is really funny from time to time) and some vintage shooter games.
All in all, Civ2 is the game which brings most fun, of course.
Keep up the legacy

They way I see it, if I haven't given up on Civ II by this point ten years after first playing it, I doubt I ever will. At least not in the foreseeable future.
Civ II truly is the game we've taken to be ours for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, fron Super NES to XBox 360, 'til death do us part

Yeah, I keep returning to Civ2, also. Only scenarios, really. There is just a certain elegance to the game that wasnt' wasn't really in Civ3. Civ4 is far better, but, like Civ3, suffers from modern publishers tendency to release Beta products: performance issues, numerous patches, and the premium add-ons that finally give it the functionality that have been in its predecessors for years. Maybe when they finish Civ4, I'll find it can hold my attention (I have found it reasonably challenging).
Hey, with all those poll options, how come there is nothing for playtesters? I may never have published anything, but I like to think I helped a few people in a small way.

I just got back to town and I've now voted. It looks like we have a community of about thirty. That's good enough for me. I'll keep making them and playing them as long as I enjoy it. It's been nearly 10 years now, and I'm not bored yet.

There's an interesting stat in the poll results: there are now more scenario makers left than regular players (ie potential playtesters not too busy making their own scenarios).Originally posted by RobRoy

It is however good to see that there are 10 scenario makers left

I don't think any of the stalwart rump of the civ2 community are overly concerned with the size of the potential audience, and 30 people should be enough to sustain this place given that they contribute regularly.
I must say though, the past few months have been the most quiet I've ever seen in the last 4 years or so, by some margin. I wonder why?

One of the possible explaniations I can think of Gareth is that quite afew projects have been developed in relative quiet, such as your rehash of Mongols ToT, HT's Beach Assault and Patrick's Korean War scenario.
Though I agree the vollume of conversation is down, overall output seems as high as ever, in my opinion that is.
