      We will refrain from attacking China. But we won't tolerate anyone using this stay of aggression to add parts of China to their colonial empires. As long as we're clear on that, peace will reign in East Asia.

            What do yhou guys say we reduce the ships from now holding 4 to maybe just 1 or 2. This way the commerce in the scenario would be slowed down even further and we don't get tigers and heavy bombers in 39, as we now do in the game over at the German forum.

                Ok, i agree with 2 BUT IF YOU ARE GOING TO UPDATE IT, DO IT BEFORE I PLAY IT, i don't want to be by a new rule.txt modification,ok?

                don't take conclusions based on a certain Pbem. you know that in the german forum, germany has lot of cities captured. that really helped to develop germany

                Eivind, you know you have choosen to follow developing a very hard scenario.

                  BK1936 PBEM v. 4.3

                  EVERYONE DOWNLOAD THIS PATCH!
                  -Copy and replace the files in you folder.

                  Ok, now freighters only carry 2. Also a shield bug fixed.

                  P.S. The freighters that already carry more than 2 units will only be able to carry 2 of them further. Let the others sleep in mid ocean and send a new freighter out to pick them up.

                    mmm... what if instead of trade units i want to carry tanks in order to invade a country? please, don´t tell me that i´ll have to build 10 ships to carry 20 tanks...

                    if i correctly recall the triremes in the original civ2 game carried 3 units.

                    on the other hand, if you use vessel A to carry only trade units and vessel B to carry only offensive units... well, that´s a differente story.

                      Yes, you guys know.. it needs a German to play Germany to its full potential!



                      Hmm.. Eivind i also don't know what would be the best solution to slow up the money and tech flow, perhaps the carrier-thing is a solution, another way would be making the trade units heavily more expensive.

                          i have a whinning. i'm totally ****ed with this rule. i see, germany can only produce ships in 3 cities, while britain can produce lot of ships in all the empire.
                          what if we let to produce ships to britain only in.... let's say 3 cities. remember that France plays a big role allied with england.

                            It's the same with Russia: Leningrad, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk etc. but as Russia, you can expand. Also you forget to mention that all Italian cities are coastal. I have already made it physically impossible to build ships in many colonial cities, as I saw fit and according to realism. I say forget about it and just play.

                                Whether you chose to carry military units or trade units is up to you, but I don't want the ship to hold no more than 2 units.

                                This also has the effect that it will be harder to do unrealistic 1 turn invasions of Britain by Germany or vica verca, as has happened earlier.
