I am going to assess this lack of action from the Skaro bunch...I am wondering what is making them so lame...

Meanwhile, my brave forces have captured the human capital. Also, I made some domestic changes (got some tax collectors), and, in result, not only I have great science rate, but also big income. So it's going quite well.
Soon, we'll have the earthlings by their throat."I realise I hold the key to freedom,

Sort of. earthlings with green h or whatever are hard to destroy, but not enough strong in attack to capture my cities.
A small bug; I never use robo-sth unit, but defence ministry always tell me I have 242 or something of them in production?
Oh, and thanks for naming a city after me Especially that it stands next to Balsinde, which is in my opinion the best scn creator ever, and next to Palaiologos, whom I consider my friend. Yet, I think naming it "Heresson's palace", making it earthlings' capital, and creating a little frog pond in front of it would be more proper"I realise I hold the key to freedom,

You are, in my opinion, the most active member of it and what makes me feel civ2 isn't dead yet.
btw, I think I'll ask You for help with my scn. I really need to finish it. 4 years is long enough"I realise I hold the key to freedom,

it's more like late-antiquity thing, the beginning of Middle Ages.
A shame I haven't finished it when I could,, years back.
I feel partially responsible for civ2 crisis...
Do You think civ2 is doomed?
I have doubts if making a scenario perhaps only 3 people will play makes sense, but I feel we have to carry on for the sakes of future generations
Civ2 scns, like the ones of Balsinde, or this scn by Curt, are gems, and it'd be a shame to lose them."I realise I hold the key to freedom,

Agreed on both your points; civ2 is inevitably declining, but scenarios that are being produced now are gems. Supernova before the death of a star maybe.

Personaly, I often find myself thinking "can I use this or that in CivII" even when I play other games.
Unlike a number of 90's masterpieces, CivII is perfectly playable under 'Xaggerated Pieceofcrap which is a deffinite pro.
A community of like-minded know-alls instead of real 8 year old know-alls is a major advantage too."Whoever thinks freely, thinks well"

Yep - To me this forum is my main hang out, I feel I know the
people here as friends, we have all grown to become a real
community...There might be only a few of us, but quality is
a definite commodity...All we really lack is an audience to
sample our work...And we could seek out new people!

I have messed around with the rules for the units, and seem to have overcame the bug that was preventing the Skaros from going to war...Now glorious carnage rages across the maps, with the Thals even using the transporters to attack the Skaros on Earth...Plenty of city-grabbing mayhem and madness!
There are new rules which will not change your game, butto take advantage of the new events (which change what you get when you go for reinforcements), you'll have to use the 'Delevent' program...I decided to change the reinforcement feature, it now gives you a cyber-engineer when you go for it, as the presence of a settler unit will make the AI waste time trying to build it.
I prefer to see the AI using his shields to buy useful war units!
I have updated the CFC link, but below is a small zip of the changes...
