...Monk mentioned me in a thread he created.
    I'm honored.

Unfortunately, I haven't been playing for almost two months now. I have exiled myself from New York to Hungary, haven't had a computer, and now that I do, it's a Mac!

I'll be following the succession game as well as I can though. I want to see how the tiny map works out.

There is Civ2 for Mac. If you say nice things about the Mac maybe somebody can help you find a copy.

The Mac versions play well. I use them.
The 1.1.1 version is the equivalent of the 2.42 in PC world.
The MGE version plays as the MGE PC version.
      The .sav files are readable.
For scenarios only, you need to convert files.
But CivII plays on old 68k Macs (very slowy) ; it run normally on PowerPC Macs, from sys 7 to 9 and only in classical environment if you have sys X.
So it probably does't play on new MacIntel.

so yeah I run OS X on a PowerPC Mac. I'm enjoying the new system, but I want civ back. And does this mean no gigamaps from now on? I should have thought this mac thing through a little better...

You can play gigamaps on vanilla 2.42 (or mac), just not create them...

Has anybody made a gigamap patch for the Map Editor?
