Colorizing software?

I stumbled across a site selling BlackMagic, software that claims to convert b&w to color. Has anyone played with this or any other such product? Any opinions?

I could see the uses for it in getting some nice colour from old photos...

I recall someone posted those images of tzarist Russia recoloured recently...

They were stunning photos!

I read on another forum that the only affordable BlackMagic program was way too limited. All their offerings do have a 10 day trial period, though.
